At the Greenfield International Stadium on Sunday, Yashasvi Jaiswal struck an impressive 25 balls to score 53 against Australia in the second Twenty20 International.

After finishing the opening two overs at three off seven balls, Jaiswal hammered his match-winning six. After smashing three fours and two sixes with grace in the fourth over of his spectacular attack on Sean Abbott, he swiftly reached his fifty by taking Nathan Ellis for a hat-trick of fours.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-292008″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc-750×422.png” alt=”theindiaprint.com islamization of bihar controversy around the nitish kumar governments choice of sc” width=”1559″ height=”877″ title=”Yashasvi Jaiswal is the front-runner to start the T20 World Cup as an opener: An ex-Indian cricket player makes a forecast 3″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc-750×422.png 750w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc-1024×576.png 1024w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc-768×432.png 768w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc-1536×864.png 1536w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc-390×220.png 390w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc-150×84.png 150w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-islamization-of-bihar-controversy-around-the-nitish-kumar-governments-choice-of-sc.png 1920w” sizes=”(max-width: 1559px) 100vw, 1559px” />

In fact, the young player created history when he hit 53 runs off 25 balls, including nine fours and two sixes, to become the Indian powerplay record holder. Jaiswal therefore became the third Indian player to reach fifty runs during a Twenty20 international powerplay, after Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul.

Due to his rapid strike rate, India was able to reach 77/1 at the conclusion of the power play and finally compiled 235 in their 20 overs, with Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad scoring fifties. Australia was restricted to 191/9 in response, giving India a 44-run victory.

Abhishek Nayar, a former cricket player for India, commented on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s certainty for the next T20 World Cup.

Since the previous several series, Yashasvi has been a member of the T20 squad and has consistently performed well for the group. He is developing into a potential star even in Test cricket. You therefore anticipate having him on the squad. With the IPL taking place in between, it is still very far away. But the way he’s performing right now, Abhishek Nayar said, he’ll be a strong contender for that position.

Because he thought the first two overs weren’t good for batting, today was a brilliant knock. He sort of stepped on the gas as Maxwell entered the bowling alley. Today, Yashasvi Jaiswal demonstrated his two-dimensional ability to both generate and utilize pace masterfully. He was playing square of the wicket, moving towards third man, and when needed, getting the ball past mid-wicket to the on side. Overall, Jaiswal played a very disciplined but forceful innings, according to Nayar.

In the five-match series, India currently leads Australia 2-0. Tuesday’s match will take place at Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium.
